MAKANDA, Ill. (KFVS) – Giant City State Park will be hosting early morning hikes on two separate days in July.
The hikes will be hosted from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Friday, July 12, and Friday, July 26. Those interested can join the Park Naturalist as they get some exercise and take in the early morning woods on one of the eight park trails.
According to the park, the trail will vary from one to three miles and will be moderately difficult with some steep stair climbing.
The program is free and open to the public, but registration is required. To register, you can call 618-457-4836.
