BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The impacts of a global technology outage are being felt in Louisiana as state agencies and offices along with parish officials and law enforcment agencies report interruptions to their services on Friday, July 19 due to the outage.
Below is a list of locations that have been impacted.
STATEWIDE
- LOUISIANA OFFICE OF MOTOR VEHICLES
Due to the global computer outage, the Office of Motor Vehicles cannot process transactions and customers may experience wait times.
WEST FELICIANA PARISH
- WEST FELICIANA PARISH SHERIFF’S OFFICE
The sheriff’s office said, “Our internal networks are currently down as a result of the global outage that’s affecting many users. We have 911, radio and phone capabilities but no internet or email service. Our IT provider is working to restore our service and we hope to have it fully restored by the end of the day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to be fully operational soon.”
