Several El Paso high school softball players have been named All-State by the Texas Sports Writers Association in Classes 5A and 6A.
Here is a look at who is honored.
Class 6A
- Krisilyn Corral, Socorro, honorable mention, utility. She finished her career with 38 homers, 199 RBIs and 28 wins in the circle.
- Ariana Hernandez, Eastwood, named honorable mention, first baseman. She hit .484 with 57 RBIs this past season.
- Gaby De Anda, Eastwood, honorable mention, outfield. She hit .460 with on base percentage of .500
- Miranda Guillen, Eastwood, honorable mention, pitcher. She struckout 210 batters in 122.2 innings pitched this past season.
- Isabel Ramos, Pebble Hills, honorable mention, outfield. She hit .430 with 40 hits and five triples this past season.
- Riley Cassiday, Pebble Hills, second team, catcher. She hit .525 with 9 homers and 40 RBIs this past season.
Class 5A
- Alejandra Salazar, Hanks, second team, catcher. She led the team this year with a .500 batting average, scored 60 runs in the leadoff spot and had 15 home runs with 45 RBIs.

- Madison Young, Hanks, second team outfielder. Young hit 17 homers, drove in 52 runs and scored 50 runs.
- Katelynn Hernandez, Del Valle, second team outfielder. Hernandez hit .495 with five homers and 32 RBIs.
- Nevaeh Rodriguez, Del Valle, third team, second base. Rodriguez hit .439 with five homers and 40 RBIs.
- Alex Ramos, Del Valle, outfield, honorable mention. She hit .529 with 17 doubles and 18 stolen bases.
What Del Valle coach had to say
“I’m super proud of them,” Del Valle coach Erica Rodriguez said. “The kids helped set example with their hard work and being great team players. They help leave a legacy with the honor they received.”
