WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — A Connecticut State Police trooper’s cruiser was hit by another vehicle early Saturday morning on Interstate 95 South near Exit 17 in Westport, according to state police.
Troopers responded just after 3 a.m. to a crash. A trooper parked their cruiser in the left lane with its emergency lights activated to secure the scene, according to state police.
State police said a vehicle traveling in the left lane failed to slow down and move over, hitting the parked cruiser, which was unoccupied at the time.
Minor injuries were reported. It was not immediately known if charges were pending.
State police remind drivers to slow down and move over for emergency vehicles.
