SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -The Crooks Gun Club will be a very busy place starting tomorrow for the State Trapshooting Tournament.

Over 1,300 shooters will take aim for several championship the next 5 days from all over the state and actually surrounding states as well.

For the Bartholow brothers from Rapid City, they look forward to seeing so many familiar faces at this event.

Matt Bartholow, Rapid City says, “I love the people here. We get to see everyone who we haven’t seen in a year because they come from all over the state. We’ve got people coming in from other states as well. So we get to see a lot of the people we don’t normally see back home. So it’s great to get here and kind of hang out with everyone and chat with all the people we haven’t seen for an entire year.”

Foster Bartholow, Rapid City says, “I love this one. This is one of my favorite state shoots to go to. just because of the people. It’s just a great experience. It’s safe and fun. Overall just a great time.”

Matt will be a future Athlete of the Week. He has won 3 consecutive World Doubles titles and that’s something that has never been done in the history of the sport. And Foster is pretty darned good too.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s because their dad Bud was a star for Post 22 and was drafted by the Phillies.
