By this point in his career, John Mayer has already enjoyed great success on the Billboard charts. He’s reached many songs and albums lists with dozens of hits and a bevy of top-performing full-lengths. Yet even after so many wins in a number of different styles, the rocker is still reaching tallies for the very first time.

Mayer debuts on one Billboard tally this week that he’s never appeared on before. He has his latest superstar collaboration to thank for the new smash, which gives the Grammy winner a hit on a number of rankings this time around.

“Better Days” debuts on the Country Streaming Songs chart this frame, earning Mayer his first appearance on the roster. The tune opens at No. 19 on the list of the most-streamed country-only tracks in the United States.

Mayer’s new hit is a collaboration with Zach Bryan. He dominates the Billboard charts this week thanks to his new album The Great American Bar Scene. The title is a huge success on various albums lists, and most of the 19 tracks featured on it find their way to various rosters as well.

“Better Days” marks the fourth-loftiest debut on the Country Streaming Songs chart this week. Bryan’s own “28” and “American Nights” precede it, as they launch at Nos. 5 and 6, respectively. Morgan Wallen earns the top start of the frame, as “Lies Lies Lies” is new at No. 3.

Unlike Mayer, Bryan is far from new to the Country Streaming Songs list. He’s now sent 34 tunes to the tally, including 15 top 10 hits–a sum he adds to this week. Two of those tracks have soared to the summit.

“Better Days” reaches at least eight Billboard charts this week. In addition to scoring Mayer his first hit on the country-specific streaming ranking, it also brings him back to the Hot 100 for the first time in years. The tune is a cross-genre smash, as it appears on both country and rock lists.
