WILLIAMSBURG — The Three Jolly Coachmen’s Coffee House concert series presented a check for $2,000 to FISH Inc. of Williamsburg, a record-high donation for any single concert in the series’ two-year history.
The donation was made possible by attendance and drink donations by those attending the July 12 performance of the local Celtic band Poisoned Dwarf., according to concert series organizers.
FISH Inc. President Jill Holroyd accepted the donation on behalf of FISH, with Poisoned Dwarf band member Lance Pedigo also in attendance.
Since the series launched in 2022, the TJC Coffee House has donated a total of $14,400 to Williamsburg-area charities including the Williamsburg House of Mercy, Grove Christian Outreach Center, the Bruton Parish Community Closet, SpiritWorks, Colonial CASA, the Heritage Humane Society and the local chapter of the USO.
The TJC Coffee House has announced that, due to continued high demand, it will offer a third season consisting of six bimonthly concerts beginning in September.
