Fire at Ooltewah home claims life of family dog early Friday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. —
A house fire broke out overnight on Snow Hill Road near Highway 58. The family who lives their lost their dog.
Hamilton County Emergency Management says the 911 call from a passing motorist came in before 3 a.m. Friday.

Multiple agencies responded to the call including Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department, Chattanooga Fire Department, and Tri-Community Volunteer Department.
The Hamilton County EMA says two adults were able to escape the home but their dog died in the fire.
The house is a total loss.
