DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – Crews responded to a house fire in Davenport Monday evening. One person was taken to the hospital and a couple animals were found dead inside of the home, crews said.

TV6 is on-scene at the house fire.

Crews told TV6 they were called to a house near Cedar Street and west 75th place Monday evening for a medical call and when they first arrived, they saw smoke and requested backup.

Crews said they pulled a hose inside of the house and found a fire at the back end of the home.

Crews told TV6 that one female was taken to the hospital.

A couple of dogs were found dead inside of the home, crews said.

As of 6:35 p.m. both fire crews and police are on scene.
