A stranded motorist was rescued after his car got stuck on the west side of Strawberry Peak.

The 23-year-old called 911 just after 12:30 a.m. Thursday, as his Toyota Tercel had gotten stuck on a shortcut Google recommended between Springville and Vernal.

He was stuck for about three hours, officials said. He did not sustain any injuries but did require transport off of the mountain.

Wasatch Front Search and Rescue responded and rendered assistance.
